Cheyenne Marie Mize cut her teeth in the Louisville music scene as a member of the projects Arnett Hollow and Maiden Radio. She also performed in the supporting cast, and as an opening act, for fellow Kentucky-based musicians Ben Sollee & Daniel Martin Moore on their 2010 Dear Companion tour. Mize was introduced on a larger scale when she partnered with Louisville legend and outsider artist Will Oldham/Bonnie Prince Billy to record and release the 10" LP of 19th century Amercian parlor/folk song collection entitled "Among The Gold." In October of 2010, through sonaBLAST! Records, Mize re-released her debut album "Before Lately," a beautiful collection of intimate, psych-folk songs.

Louisville band Chemic caught MOKB's attention when they filled our ears with dreamy indie-pop from their debut album Fever On The Forest Floor. This young band is probably one of the best projects to pop up in Louisville in the past couple years. Their songs are honest, earnest and endearing. Sonic layers are often piled high, but most of the songs are still driven by pop mainstays, an acoustic guitar or piano.

The Watson Twins, long-time friends of MOKB, former school chums, and all-around incredible singers stop by The Laundromatinee's VIBES II performance space location to play us some songs from their 2008 release "Fire Songs". They also blend a great cover of Bill Withers' "Ain't No Sunshine" in with some of their album cuts.
