Denison Witmer released his seventh full-length album, "Carry The Weight", this past Fall through The Militia Group. It is an extremely personal and honest effort, with quality songwriting throughout. Before sitting down to write the album, Denison received news he had a close friend diagnosed with cancer. Also, like many pre-album catalysts, Witmer experienced the pain that goes along with the demise of a serious relationship. Given much of the subject matter, one would think the album might be beyond subdued and downtrodden, but if you listen closely, Witmer shows glimmers of hope through the fog of the pain.
